New Features of the AC-150 Connectors for motor power, motor encoder and thermocouples (new waterproof), and 60 Hz grid power interface connector.   New waterproof control connector ­ functions: accelerator and regeneration positions, system enable, mode select, recharge control, on/off grid control and limits, serial data.   New quarter turn bayonet connector for battery connection. New internal contactor operates automatically ­ opens when battery is disconnected (either at connector or any other disconnect in the pack, closes when battery is re-connected.   Simple air cooling system with variable speed blower. Air flow rate is continuously matched to cooling requirements. Almost no audible blower noise during recharge. Ambient air does not blow directly over electronics ­ only through lower compartment cooling plenum that is sealed from the electronic components.   New integrated high voltage DC distribution connector replaces need for an external high voltage distribution box, and allows easy connection to a hybrid APU, fuel cell, or supercapacitor.
